JLGC Continues Strong Growth in the First Half of 2026

The Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation (JLGC) achieved strong financial and operational results during the first half of 2026, with the total value of guarantees issued reaching JOD 300 million, compared to JOD 204 million during the same period in 2025. This reflects the Corporation's continued business growth and its expanding role in supporting the national economy and facilitating access to finance for businesses.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, H.E.Dr. Adel Al-Sharkas, stated that these results demonstrate the success of the Corporation's strategy in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups, while enhancing the competitiveness of Jordanian exports in line with the Kingdom's Economic Modernization Vision.

Dr. Al-Sharkas added that the Corporation's total revenues increased to JOD 34.2 million, compared to JOD 25.2 million during the first half of 2025.

He further noted that, during the first half of the year, JLGC launched the Guarantee for Employment Programme, funded by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through KfW Development Bank, as well as the Green Finance Guarantee Programme, as part of the Corporation's efforts to expand its services, promote sustainable finance, and support job creation.

For his part, Adnan Naji, Director General of JLGC, explained that the Corporation provided guarantees for 843 loans with a total value of JOD 149 million, including 103 startup projects valued at JOD 9 million. In addition, 214 micro-enterprises benefited from the Micro Projects Guarantee Programme, with financing amounting to JOD 2 million by the end of June 2026.

Regarding export credit and domestic sales insurance, JLGC issued guarantees covering approximately 2,560 export shipments and domestic sales transactions, with a total value of JOD 151 million. The number of active insurance policies increased to 131, covering export and domestic sales operations in 42 countries worldwide.

The Corporation reaffirmed its commitment to further developing its guarantee programmes and expanding partnerships with financial institutions and development partners to improve access to finance across various economic sectors, stimulate investment, foster innovation and entrepreneurship, and strengthen JLGC's role as a key partner in achieving sustainable economic development in Jordan.
